About us

A Group specialising in transport and logistics for the fruit & vegetable and industrial sectors in France and internationally.

With more than 60 years of growth, the Primever Group has developed specific expertise and a unique network for organising transport and logistics for the fruit and vegetable sector (controlled temperature) and industrial goods (ambient temperature) in France and internationally. Aware of the market and its stakeholders’ needs, the Primever Group has positioned itself at the heart of the value chain between producers (cooperatives, shippers) and distributors (supermarkets, wholesalers, specialists). Our unique network enables us to operate across the entire logistics chain, bringing together 4 complementary businesses:

  • Road transport of fruit and vegetables in France and Europe: organisation of collection, bulking, consolidation and distribution operations from production areas to consumption areas.
  • International transport: sea, air and customs transit operations.
  • Logistics: storage and cross-docking operations for fruit and vegetables and industrial goods.
  • Transport of industrial products and traction services: transport and distribution by full lorries and consolidation organisation throughout France.

Paving the way for a new generation of transport.

The Group’s activities are structured around 4 complementary businesses in France and abroad:

  • Mesguen and its subsidiaries in Brittany joined the Primever group.
  • The move to the Sète fruit terminal opened up a strategic point of entry for international business.
2020

A new turning point for the PRIMEVER network, which became the PRIMEVER Group. Julien Garnier takes over the reins from his father. Through successive takeovers, SATAR became the Primever group.

2019

An ambitious vision to create a leading national network. Over the years, the network has been consolidated through a strategy of organic and external growth.

A national network was formed with partner companies, leaders in their field, to link the main French production areas and distributors.

DNA - Missions - Values

Our family group has grown whilst staying loyal to the founding culture and values of the people who have contributed to its development.

Every day, at the heart of the regions, all our employees are mobilised to oversee the logistics and transport of our customers’ products.

Driven by commitment, solidarity and responsiveness, we focus on collection, bulking and consolidation operations to choose the best transport routes that will give consumers daily access to quality products that comply with cold chain and sanitary requirements. By fostering our entrepreneurial vision, we are making a long-term commitment to maintaining the profitability and growth of our group through our focus on quality, diversification and innovation. The fulfilment and development of our employees remain essential values for our Group, ensuring that we can continue to provide increasingly efficient customer service and oversee the transition to a new generation of transport that is committed to and respectful of environmental challenges.

Our commitments

For us, almost 30 years ago, when CSR wasn’t even an acronym, let alone a buzzword, meeting these challenges was essential for us to continue being able to connect agricultural know-how to consumers’ plates. In the 1990s, the Group set out its ambitions under an internal label: Etic Company. The aim of Etic Company is to transform all everyday actions into sustainable ones. For more than 10 years, the Group has pursued a voluntary CSR policy, and all its progress and objectives are recorded in a CSR report.

Whether it’s technology and innovation around our roadside and warehouse units, employee awareness or quality of life at work, everything is analysed in detail with a view to continuous improvement. Would you like to find out more? It’s right here!
