Our commitments

Very early on in its history, the Primever Group took an interest in its social and environmental impact. That’s how the Etic Company label came about.

COMMITTED TO PEOPLE AND NATURE
Since the 1990s PRIMEVER has been a pioneer in decarbonising transport, and even more broadly in CSR, demonstrating the company’s desire and willingness to reinvent the practices of tomorrow. Rémy Garnier, our former CEO, introduced an internal procedure, the “Etic Company” label, which is now also used to audit our internal practices and as a compass for our commitments. This label has been further strengthened and developed by Julien Garnier to become the benchmark for our daily actions.
We also believe that diversity and inclusion are driving forces for progress, and we have developed training and debate initiatives, as well as initiatives to change mindsets on the subject of diversity, inclusion, working methods and organisation, as well as to drive change in our business lines.

Our employees are encouraged to discuss gender equality, inclusion and personal development at set times. These moments of discussion and sharing are intended to inspire, raise awareness and move boundaries within the company, whilst valuing everyone’s contribution.
Every day PRIMEVER works to create an environment where each individual feels valued and supported in their career path. Our training programmes are also designed to support skills development and promote inclusive leadership within the company.

COMMITTED TO THE REGIONS

PRIMEVER is much more than a transport operator, it is a partner who is committed to regional development. Based in the Lot-et-Garonne department of France, and with operations throughout France and Europe, our company supports local economies by choosing local and ethical purchases wherever possible. Our commitment is also expressed through sponsorship and patronage of local initiatives and support for players in the fruit and vegetable sector.
We ensure that our infrastructure is located as close as possible to farms, facilitating the link between producers and consumers in a very short timeframe. We are also working alongside our producer, wholesaler and retailer customers to explore new avenues and open up potential markets, particularly in Europe, while remaining loyal to our ethical values.

COMMITTED TO THE SECTOR

As a key player in the fruit and vegetable sector, we work with our customers on a daily basis to promote sustainable modes of transport. Our proximity to farms and our expertise in logistics allow us to optimise journeys and reduce our carbon footprint.

We are actively working on the energy transition by testing biogas and electric engines for our fleet, while reducing the energy consumption of our platforms through initiatives such as the construction of photovoltaic power stations. These efforts enable us to minimise our environmental impact while guaranteeing the quality and safety of the products we transport.

OUR RESPONSIBILITY REPORT

Transparency is at the heart of our CSR approach. Each year, we publish a Corporate Social Responsibility report, in which we measure and monitor our actions using precise indicators. This report is not only a monitoring tool for our activities, but also a means of involving all our employees in our ethical and sustainable approach.
